Friends of the PSO

2012 - 2013 SCHEDULE

We invite you to join The Friends of the PSO, a special group of symphony fans who, now in their sixteenth year, share their enthusiasm for classical music and for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

As a member of the Friends of the PSO you can get to know:

• the Music - at special in depth lectures
• the Musicians, Artists, and Conductors – who meet with us and informally speak about their lives, their experiences, and their view of the music world
• the Managers of the Symphony
• the Members - Meet and mingle with other music lovers at the Friends' events and at inexpensive pre-concert full course buffet dinners at Heinz Hall

Annual Membership Fee for The Friends of the PSO sixteenth season is $50 per person / $95 per couple.  For membership information, please contact Kathy Maskalick at 724-935-0507

COCKTAIL RECEPTIONS   

(Cocktails & Hors d’oeuvres at 5 PM; Speaker at 6 PM) with guest artists and musical personalities as speakers are held at PSO Heinz Hall from 5-7 PM and are Free-of-Charge to members.  All receptions will take place in the Regency Rooms.

• Thursday, January 10 --  Cellist Enrico Dindo
• Thursday, March 7 – PSO Principal Double Bass, Jeff Turner
• Thursday, May 16 – Pianist Valentina Lisitsa

PRE-CONCERT DINNERS   ($35 per person including tax and gratuity)

Buffet dinners for Members and their guests take place in the Regency Rooms of Heinz Hall.  Doors open and Cash Bar service begins at 5:45 PM with dinner service beginning at 6 PM, enabling participants to attend the “Concert Preludes” lectures if they wish.  By advance reservation only, so be sure to watch your mail for flyers announcing each event.
